Great rock n' roll show?? You best believe it! Packed with a fist full of punch, life, and good ol' decadence, The Rice Rockets will leave one and all in complete awe.
So who are these kids anyway?? The band at first originated in southern Orange County when guitarist Kathryn wanted to start up the band. She hooked up with the future rhythm guitarist, Kaz Osumi, online after only one meeting. Finally, rounding off the rhythm section, is Juhwan Suh from Kathryn's high school. And apparently, we don't have a drummer, minor detail right??
And now I guess the question is, what are these kids about?? Well, to say the least, the different members have a rather diverse taste in music. The guitarists' primary tastes are that of Guns N' Roses and Metallica. The bassist appears to prefer the simple yet effective punk band, Green Day.
Since a steady stream of impediments have been obstructing the path to their creative destinies, they have not really been able to perform and get their act together. But, as the cliche goes, all good things come to those who wait. And when they actually do get on the ball, they'll explode on the music scene with a vengeance. Until then, have patience.
Special thanks to John Fuentes, Teddy Andreadis, Gilby Clarke, Slash, Ryan Roxie, Mike Fasano, Grant Iwata and record producer...Alan Mirikitani from the Screaming Buddha Heads. And how could anyone possibly forget all the wonderful, supportive friends (you know who you are!).
Kathryn Le: vocals, lead guitar
Kaz Osumi: rhythm guitar, backing vocals
Juhwan Suh: bass guitar
